Privacy policy

ICG Globe is a private immigration consultancy (CICC licence R709937). This policy describes how the visa portal at visa.icgglobe.com handles personal information. ICG Globe is not affiliated with the Government of Canada or IRCC. This page is general information, not legal advice.

What we collect

Account data (name, email, password hash), profile details you choose to add (date of birth, UCI, passport number, phone, address), case documents you upload, messages, permit expiry dates, payment references from Stripe, and referral codes. Marketing messages are sent only if you opt in separately, in line with CASL. Permit reminders are sent only if you opt in to them.

Why we collect it

To open your account, prepare a study permit file, let you track permit dates, take payment for a chosen plan, and reply to you. We do not sell personal information.

Consent

Creating an account requires agreement to this policy and the terms. Marketing consent is optional and is not required to use the service. You can withdraw marketing consent or expiry reminders in your profile.

Safeguards

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Uploaded files are stored outside the web root and encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Files are downloaded only through an authenticated route that checks ownership. Administrator actions on client records are written to an audit log.

Where it is stored

Data is stored on ICG Globe’s own server. The hosting region is chosen by the firm. Ask us if you need the current location. Access is limited to the account holder and ICG Globe operators.

Retention

We keep case documents while a file is open and for up to 24 months after it closes, unless a longer period is required. You may ask us to correct your profile. Account deletion requests can be sent through the contact form.

Access and questions

You can review your profile in the portal. To ask for a copy, a correction, or to challenge our handling of your information under PIPEDA, use the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We store the payment status and amount, not your full card number.
